What a fun-filled 24 hours! After driving to Vegas to catch our flight to NY, we were able to catch a few hours of sleep in a seat most appropriately sized for a 10 year old! Our power nap was just enough to fuel our engines as we arrived in NY for a 15 hour layover. We caught the train into the city and ate breakfast at Carnegie Deli. Chris and I agree that it's a totally different vibe at 6:00 am vs 11:00 pm.
As we were eating breakfast, we had a celebrity sighting. Billy Gardell, from Mike & Molly, sat next to us. Although I didn't accost him during his breakfast, he seemed to be very personable with the wait staff, as he posed with them for photos.
We walked around the City for a few hours, found an open air market, went to a matinee (Peter and the Star Catcher), grabbed a "slice" at Rays Pizza, then back to the subway. We're sitting at JFK waiting for our flight to Rome. I'm missing Cam and Colin, but can't wait to see Harrison.
